FAQ

Thank you for your interest in our products, I've put together some of the most commonly asked questions below, however if there is anything else you would like to know, please do reach out and I will answer as quickly as possible. 

1. Are the products made with Soy wax? 

No, we use a rapeseed and coconut wax for our candles and a coconut wax for our melts.  These are both vegan, sustainable and natural waxes and don't include any paraffin, soy, palm, beeswax or synthetic additives.  Our candle wax is also part of pioneering programme to train more farmers on sustainable coconut agricultural practices meaning no forest removal is required to plant new coconut trees. 

2. Are the products made with Essential Oils or Fragrance Oils?

All of our candles, melts and diffusers are made with what we believe to be the highest quality fragrance oils which are specifically formulated for their use in home fragrance products.  I love the variety of scents that can be achieved with fragrance oils and also their reliability and quality. Being man made the composition of fragrance oils remains the same batch on batch. 

There are a lot of misconceptions surrounding Fragrance oil vs Essential oil and it is my belief everybody should buy what they feel most comfortable with. I will however use this opportunity to clear up a couple of myths.  Both types of oils contain chemicals, fragrance oils are synthetic (man made) whereas essential oils are made from natural chemicals. Although of course safe to use essential oils tend to have stronger hazard warnings since they have higher contents of hazardous substances that are predefined by nature. As fragrance oils are synthetic blends hazardous substances can be kept under defined levels. The quality of essential oils can also vary slightly given that they are extracted from plants, factors such as the weather and other elements can slightly change their composition. 

3. Where are the products made? 

All of my UK stock was handmade (by me) from my home in Scotland and is distributed by my lovely mum who is based in Scotland.  All of my UAE stock is handmade (by me) here in Dubai.  If you follow us on socials you will get to see some of the behind the scenes. 

4. Is there anything you as the customer can do to ensure your candle burns well? 

Yes. Please allow your candle to burn until it reaches a full melt pool on the first burn (this means there is melted wax all the way to the edges). Trim the wick of your candle between burns, this can be done by just snapping off the burnt part of the wick. Replace the lid of your candle between burns to avoid any dust getting inside. Place your candle in a secure spot when burning away from any drafts. 

5. Is there anything you as the customer can do to ensure your diffuser, diffuses well?

Yes. Please use all of the reed provided, the diffuser recipe has been tested with this being the optimum number (if you are finding the fragrance too strong, then remove 1 reed at a time until you reach your desired scent throw).  Place your diffuser in a warm environment with good airflow.  Flip your reeds weekly for a burst of fragrance. 

6. Should all of the wax evaporate with a wax melt?

No. Given their size, the fragrance will burn off before all of the wax has a chance to evaporate.  Once you've noticed you can no longer smell the fragrance, this is your sign to change to a new melt. 

7. How do I change my wax melts?

I have a 'how to' reel of this on our instagram page (it's in two parts).  I've found the easiest way is to light your tealight underneath your melt for 10-15 seconds unit the melt is slightly liquid underneath (it will still be completely hard on top) then a little pressure on one side and it will slip right out. 

8. My order is a gift, can you send it directly to the recipient? 

Of course, just let us know on the checkout notes that it is a gift and if you would like a special note included, make a note of what you would like it to say. 

9. The item I want is out of stock, when will it be available? 

With the exception of our burners and ceramics, I make everything myself so as long as I have the ingredients in stock, I can make items within 24-48hrs.  If there is something you would like that is out of stock or there is not the quantity you require in stock, let me know and I can advise on how quickly I can have it ready for you. 

10. Do you sell wholesale or white label?
